If so, we need YOU to speak up!

Feb. 11, at the Town Hall in Owings Mills (District 2)

and

Feb. 25 Town Hall in Timonium (District 3).

Baltimore County has significantly reduced local funding for land preservation. Our land trust partners will be there to request that funding be restored to prior levels, and are asking for residents to show their support.

County Executive John Olszewski has started this year’s round of town hall meetings to review budget plans with constituents and receive feedback. At this year’s meetings, in addition to the councilperson for that district, department heads will also be on hand. This is a good chance to get to know key county leaders and to share your views on budget issues.

In the last decade, Baltimore County significantly reduced local funding for land preservation, and several people are expected to speak at various town halls, requesting that the funding be restored to prior levels. If there is a significant number of supporters in the audience, it would be nice to have people stand in support of the requests.

LPT announces an ambitious goal of permanently protecting 20,000 contiguous acres by the end of 2020.   We need your help to make this possible.
